Mercy Masika in the US, attends National Prayer Breakfast

Gospel artiste Mercy Masika is in the United States having accepted an invite to the 67th annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington DC.

The prayer breakfast, which took place yesterday, saw the President of the United States, members of Congress, leaders throughout the United States, the diplomatic community and friends from over 140 countries come together in the spirit of friendship through prayer and thanksgiving.

“I met the organisers of NPB during a Kenyan Prayer Breakfast edition at Safari Park and they invited me to attend the USA edition. It is such a great honour to represent my country and to be a part of this great movement. These events are held all over the world because every country needs a moment of prayer and self-reflection to find the strength to deal with all the issues that face us,” she spoke to Pulse on how she got the invite.

Other dignitaries from Kenya also attending were Senators Gideon Moi and Samuel Poghisio, Speaker Muturi and Muhoho Kenyatta among others.
